Apache Tears (large) are naturally occurring rounded pebbles of volcanic glass (a form of obsidian) polished to a smooth finish and prized for their deep black color and subtle translucence when held to the light. Each large piece is hand-selected for size and shape, making it ideal as a pocket stone, display specimen, or focal piece on an altar or shelf. Traditionally used in emotional healing practices, Apache Tears are associated with grounding, protection, and support through grief, helping bring clarity and resilience during difficult times.
These large stones typically measure about 0.9”–1.5” (sizes vary by lot) and are comfortable to hold for meditation or carrying in a pouch. Their polished surface reveals smoky translucency at the edges and makes them tactile and durable for everyday use or as part of crystal collections.
