Lammas, also known as Lughnasadh, is a traditional festival celebrated on August 1st, marking the beginning of the harvest season.  Historically, Lammas was a time to give thanks for the first fruits of the harvest and to honor the Celtic god Lugh, who was associated with the sun and agriculture. The festival often included feasting, games, and fairs, where communities would come together to celebrate the bounty of the land. Today, Lammas is still observed to honor the themes of gratitude, abundance, and the cycle of life.
